Forest Park Springfield-Swan Pond Rehabilitation

Swan Pond Rehabilitation was an extensive project just finished by our crews. The work consisted on land clearing of 3 acres, excavation of the existing dam down forty feet consisting of moving of over 60,000 CY of soils. Through that process we had to create and maintain a temporary coffer dam and by pass pump the pond for 6 months. In turn we then installed of new box culvert, installation of new pond drain system with poured in place concrete structures. Work also included the reconstruction of the dam, new water line lines, electrical conduits, drainage, paving, sidewalks, and landscaping. We completed the job in a 9 month span.
